ABOUT
Abdelrahman Nagy

About me: As a socio-economic researcher specializing in impact evaluations, I am deeply interested in the intersection of Female Labor Force Participation (FLFP), social norms, social protection, poverty measurements, and education. Leveraging rigorous tools, primarily randomized controlled trials (RCTs), my research seeks to provide empirical evidence on these complex issues. I have conducted work in Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, and various other countries across the MENA region. My research has been published in top-tier Economics journals, and I have collaborated with esteemed organizations, including the World Bank, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), UN agencies, USAID, and leading academic institutions such as Harvard, MIT, Yale, Columbia, and UCLA. I am also the co-founder of J-PAL MENA at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and currently serve as Lead Evaluation Specialist and the MENA lead at 3ie, where I lead initiatives and drive expansion across the MENA region.
